10 Points, Due Thursday, Sept. 9
You will research a formula, and create an algorithm for a program that will calculate that formula. The formula could be from math, geometry, business, or even somthing like RBI or quarterback ratings.
- 3 Points - Create an algorithm that describes your process:
- The formula used in your program, involving at least 2 user entered values
- Provide a paragraph explaining what the formula does
- Provide sample data. For example, if I was doing area of a rectangle, I'd list:
- Area=Length * Height
- With sample values of 4 for length and 5 for height, my area would be 20
- The validation I had in my examples is not required yet
- 3 Points - Identify the form elements you will need
- Identify the controls you will have (both input and display)
- 4 Points - Create pseudocode based on your algorithm, in outline form. (See here for example)
- Identify the variables you will have
- Write the psudocode for retriving the values to the variables
- Write the psudocode for solving the formula
- Write the psudocode for displaying the answer
- This can be typed in Microsoft Word or any other word processor.
- Bring this program to class on 9/2.
Extra credit, 5 points: Use a formula that has 3 or more input values. (For example, my BMI had 2 - height and weight; the area of rectangle had 2 as well.)
You may not use area of a rectangle or BMI for this exercise.
